A New Rochelle, New York, law enforcement officer, Mike Vaccaro, served with the New Rochelle Police Department until 2023. During his tenure, Mike Vaccaro served as a patrol officer and special investigations detective.
In 2006, Mr. Vaccaro became a patrol officer with the department. He responded to incidents in the community, dispatched non-emergency and emergency calls, and conducted hundreds of arrests. In 2017, he shifted into the role of detective, as he investigated crimes related to prostitution, illegal sale of alcoholic beverages and controlled substances, and gambling. As a detective, he received high evaluations for his work.
Mr. Vaccaro also received numerous awards and citations throughout his career. He received the Police Commissioner Award, twelve Class C Citations, New Rochelle Municipal Housing Authority, five Commendations, Life Saving award, seven Unit Citations, and two Journal News awards. In December 2018, he received the Police Officer of the Month.
He enjoys attending Broadway shows, traveling, working out, hanging out at amusement parks, and going to the beach. Mr. Vaccaro also plays golf and goes whitewater rafting.
